Walsall got in touch with us straight away after they heard about our challenge and wanted us there for our first run. Although we did our 1st 1km at Turf Moor, we headed to Walsall on New Years Day and it was the first game and first crowd for us and it couldn’t have been a better place to start our challenge and the year! We are so grateful to Adam, Marc and Jordan who put an incredible day together for us in one of their boxes (the best half time cakes!). We did our 2nd ever lap just before the game as there were still Covid restrictions in place but still had a brilliant reception from the fans already in the ground, especially when Swifty joined us for the last few yards! The game at the Bescot Stadium against Newport County was a 6 goal thriller, ending 3-3. We got to meet Liam Kinsella, man of the match for Walsall and it was nice to see local lad Dom Telford playing for Newport which just added to an amazing day. Thanks to everyone there who helped us raise money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
