We were really looking to this game as Hummel, Everton’s sponsor, had very kindly given us their corporate box for the game at Goodison. We also couldn’t wait to see Tarky and Dwight McNeil, our friends from Burnley. We were invited onto Everton TV in the fanzone before the game and got to meet lots of fans and Giulia Bould, the presenter and BBC Radio Merseyside correspondent who interviewed us. We were sat right behind Frank Lampard and his team in a must win game against Southampton which unfortunately ended in a 2-1 defeat and ended up being one of Frank Lampard’s last game as manager. We also snuck onto Match Of The Day when they were filming his reactions! We did our lap at half time and had an amazing cheer all the round from both Everton and Southampton fans. We raised lots of money for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and got to catch up with Tarky and Dwight after the game. A brilliant day! A huge thankyou to Darren at the club who arranged everything, Hummel for the hospitality and the Toffees for their incredible support.
